Goddd...myspace is really wonderful, isn't it? It offers us so much: we stay in contact with those we want to, we have involuntary contact with those we'd rather not --- AND if we're lucky, we just might meet those who share similar interests and (shh) lifestyle choices. Please click on above link if you want to laugh at my misfortune.
This week I had the extreme enjoyment of visiting Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry to see the new exhibit 'Bodies'. If anyone in the area has heard about it, and wonders if it's worth going to the less-than-excellent museum to see it, the answer is simply Yes. Go. Look, See, Cry, Learn, Squirm. Just GO. It's on the fringe of being a tad expensive, say $19.96 if you're twelve or older. However, the good news is that if you go after 5pm the price goes down to just under $15. Student?? It doesn't matter - you won't be getting any student discount for this exibit. 'Bodies' is open until 9pm every night of the week.
It's well worth going to for many reasons (most of them body parts). I won't be too explicit so I don't ruin the fun. It's a lot of fun to see what one's body looks like beneath one's skin! The exibit is comprised of six or seven rooms of authentic Chinese corpses, and there is also a room exhibiting fetal development. Those sensitive, beware. Also on display are cancerous organs, as well as healthy ones. A special "hands-on" experience should be had in the last room.
The exibit will be open until February.
